Preserving the Past, Educating the Future

Established in 1999, New Hanover Township Historical Society is dedicated to preserving the history, lore, and heritage of New Hanover Township. Based at the restored Swamp Creek Schoolhouse and Dengler Family Summer kitchen, we serve as a learning destination to educate the public about local heritage through programs, exhibits, and authentic reenactments of nineteenth century school and home life.
